25 Day Uganda Safari



Day 1, 23rd JUL: Arrive Entebbe
 Transfer to your hotel in Kampala for check in at City Annex Hotel.
Day 02, 24th JUL: Kampala - Murchison Falls National Park
Begin the panoramic drive north-west through the famous Luwero Triangle and Masindi Town to Murchison Falls National Park arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, proceed to spectacularly situated site at the top of the Falls where you can see the Nile's beauty perfected! Marvel at the Nile, compressing from 50 meters to squeeze through a 6 metre canyon dropping 40 metres with a thunderous roar creating a beautiful rainbow, a plume of spray and the best thing that happened to the Nile..."the Murchison Falls".

Day 03: 25TH JUL: Murchison Falls National Park
Proceed for a forest walk in Pabidi Forest. Primates resident in this forest include l' hoestes, red colobus, blues, red tailed monkeys and gray cheeked mangabeys. The guide will provide detailed explanations, not only about primates, but also on all the forest flora and fauna and will ensure that our walk is both informative and enjoyable.
This walk is excellent for birdwatching and for seeing primates at close quarters. After a picnic lunch, proceed to cross over the northern bank. Spend the rest of the day relaxing by the beautiful free-form swimming pool.
The temperature cools towards the end of that afternoon and this is the ideal time to go for another game drive.
Return in time for a refreshing sundowner as you unwind and watch the sun slip slowly below the Blue Mountains of Congo.

Day 04, 26TH JUL: Murchison Falls National Park
Early morning game drive on the northern Bank. Your guide will help you spot Elephant, Lion, Cape buffalo, Rothschild's giraffe, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard. After a packed lunch picnic, go for a boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just tens of metres from the "Devil's Cauldron". En-route, marvel at the toothsome hippos, crocodiles and over this 17 km stretch you may see elephant, waterbuck and Uganda Kob. This is also a zone of many bird species like Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork. After taking shots of photogenic Murchison Falls, return to Paraa Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 05, 27TH JUL: Kibale National Park
All day drive south via Hoima to Fort Portal through verdant countryside and past traditional homesteads and farms. Fort-Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon.

Day 06, 28TH JUL: Kibale National Park
All day search of chimpanzee and 10 other primate including l' hoestes, red colobus, blues, red tailed and gray-cheeked mangabey. The guide will provide detailed explanations, not only on primates, but on all the forest fauna and flora and will ensure that your walk is both informative and enjoyable.
This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and seeing primates at close quarters.

Day 07, 29TH JUL: Kibale Nat. Park - Queen Elizabeth Nat Park
Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Ruwenzori Mountain range for much of the journey. A game drive en route may be rewarded with views of lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, hyena and a variety of antelope species. Enjoy the unique 2 hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into lake Edward.
This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water's edge. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colourful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge, a 5 star lodge beautifully situated on a bluff overlooking the Kazinga Channel .

Day 08, 30TH JUL: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Two game drives today. Queen Elizabeth National Park 's diverse eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Game drives in this park, with the massive Rwenzoris as a backdrop provides excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, Topi and bush buck. These two game drives and the boat trip (taken prior) are a memorable method of discovering a vast array of Ugandan wildlife.

Day 09, 31ST JUL: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park's diverse Eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. An early morning walk in the spectacular Kyambura Gorge provides excellent opportunities to see chimpanzees, l'hoestes, red colobus, black and white colobus and more. After a picnic lunch, return to the Mweya Area for another exciting and scintillating game drive.

Day 10, 1ST AUG: Queen Elizabeth Nat. Park
Early morning transfer to Ishasha Area of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Ishasha is home to the famous tree-climbing lions and the large herds of game. The scenic beauty, the size of the euphorbias and combination of riverine forest, Savannah plain and equatorial forest makes this a memorable day, only found in Africa.

Day 11, 2ND AUG: – Ishasha
Drive through Ishasha while viewing the tree climbing lions.
At Ishasha you will find the most unique lions that climb trees

Days 12-13, 3RD & 4TH AUG: Lake Bunyonyi
Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. This mountain tarn is surrounded by terraced hills. The setting is truly beautiful. Enjoy Bilharzia- free swimming, dug out canoeing, sunbathing, hilly walks or mountain bike riding and cray fishing.

Day 14, 5TH AUG: Lake Mburo National Park
After an early breakfast, you will drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Enter the Park through the Nshara Gate. Afternoon game drive along the Lakeshore track. With its own system of game trails and cleared walkways the "Kigambara Loop" offers interesting guided lakeside walks. Find here herds of zebra, Cape buffalo and eland. Oribi and topi are easily approached. Along with a game drive, many visitors enjoy a boat trip on Lake Mburo. Self-guided nature trails are also available. Birdwatchers, will enjoy the more than 250 species of birds found in Lake Mburo including Papyrus Gonolek, Brown faced Lapwing. Carruther's Cisticola, the extraordinary White winged Warbler and Bare-Faced-Go-Away bird. Return to Lake Mburo Tented Camp for candlelit dinners and first class service, all under canvas in the heart of the African Bush under the starry African sky.

Day 15, 6TH AUG: Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, proceed for a game drive or a safari walk under the escort of an armed ranger. The Kopjes are particularly interesting and camouflage kilpspringers and topis. Due to cattle herding in the area it is amusing to see zebra grazing alongside the long horned Ankore Cattle peaceably. Return for lunch which should be taken leisurely enjoying the view of the lakes in this park. Enjoy the boat ride on Lake Mburo and get quite close to crocs and hippos. This is the only park where you are not entirely imprisoned in a vehicle. Rather refreshing!

Day 16, 7TH AUG : Lake Mburo National Park – Kampala
After breakfast, off you go for one more game drive. After lunch, drive back to Kampala stopping at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers en route where you will able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through generations. There will also be time to stop at the equator for photographs.
On your way to Jinja you can pass Sezibwa falls.

Day 17-18, 8TH & 9TH AUG:Kampala- Jinja source of the Nile
Visit the Source of the Nile take a boat trip and see exactly where the nile begins to flow.
You could decide to raft, take a boat trip or bunjee jump.

Day 19, 10th AUG: JINJA –MABIRA FOREST
Depart Jinja in the morning after breakfast and head to the big Mabira forest. On arrival, you can make a booking into the secluded Rainforest Lodge where you can enjoy lunch in the magnificent Legacies restaurant with spectacular views across the canopy and wildlife all at your disposal or set up your tents for camping.  In the afternoon you take your first walk, with your guide helping you find your way through the differen trail and telling you all about the forest, its history, features and, of course, the forest life. Watch out for red-tailed monkeys, duikers and porcupine along with birds like Red-chested Cuckoos, African Black-headed Orioles and Great Blue Turacos. Take an evening rest and dine on your own private veranda or take a drink at the bar.

Day 20, 11th AUG – Trekking through Mabira Forest-Kampala
The second day presents you with an opportunity to start with an early morning walk in the forest looking for wildlife feeding in the cool of the morning. After a 3-4 hour walk, you can have a picnic lunch before heading back to Kampala.

Day 21, 12TH AUG:  – Kampala City Tour
Your day of leisure enjoy personalized options. You could go for a tour of Kampala City. This vibrant African city has quite a number of attractions. This trip culminates at the Uganda Craft Village where you can buy curios, souvenirs and mementos to remind you of your Uganda tour and also as gifts for your family and friends back home.The museum is a must for you to visit too. Overnight City Annex Hotel.


Day 22, 13TH AUG: Relax in Kampala-Sunset trip on L.victoria
Have a boat trip on Lake Victoria for an hour and relax at Munyonyo Resort ,fishing can be arranged at an extra cost of $75.00 per person.
Overnight City Annex Hotel.
Day 23, 14th AUG: Ngamba Island
Depart Kampala at 9:00am after breakfast and head to Entebbe where you will board a boat to Ngamba Island and spend the day with the chimpanzees.
One who has visited this great island can witness that the tour begins right away the moment you set to Entebbe Uganda Wild Life Center where you are welcomed by free lance monkeys that bless the compound, many tree species natural and man planted, the architecture its self but most impressive are the close to 20 water bird species that beautify the shores/ boarding area as you set off for your trip.
Return to Entebbe and spend a night at Entebbe Flight Motel.

Day 24, 15th AUG: Entebbe Zoo-gardens and beach
After breakfast, you will drive to the wildlife centre.
The zoo is very ideal for you to visit and after that you can visit the botanical gardens and then relax by the beautiful beaches of Entebbe while enjoying the tasty roasted fish from Lake Victoria. Overnight Entebbe Flight Motel.

Day 25, 16th AUG: Depart for the airport for your flight back home.
The Rate will be $11,295.00 for the whole family of 5 all entrance fees,permits,accommodation,activities and airport transfers are included in the price.
Per person 5 people travelling together on a budget trip is $2259.00
